Beginning a Tenancy
We have implemented a new process for prospective tenants wanting to view any available properties we have listed.
Prior to arranging an appointment time with our Letting Agent to show you through a property, we ask that you complete our registration form. This can either be collected from our office or completed online. This requires all areas to be completed in full, terms and conditions accepted and a copy of photo identification supplied. We recommend you use previous rental history as references. A Cedar Credit check is completed (by the Property Manager) with the tenant's consent.
Once this registration form has been processed, we will contact you to arrange a time to view the property. If you have any queries regarding this process, please email our office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
When a tenant first signs up to rent a property, we give them a thorough induction. They learn everything they need to know about the property, but are also fully informed about what is expected of them. We explain our zero tolerance policy to rent arrears and also our pet and no smoking policies. We find that this induction procedure clears up any potential misunderstandings and resolves early any possible problems.
To move into a property you must pay the start-up fees before we can give you your keys. We require:
- The first week's rent in advance
- One week’s rent plus GST (15%) as a letting fee
- Four weeks bond.

At the end of your tenancy
When you move out you need to close all accounts under your name at your address. If you don’t you will incur extra charges. Call Fast Connect on 0800 885599 to move your services to your new address. Please allow 7-10 days to ensure everything is set up on moving day. As you mop your way out the door take a final reading of your power meter and email it to Fast connect.
